More about Bridie

Prior to joining the profession, Bridie was an academic at two of Australia’s leading universities, teaching international politics and international political economy, researching two theses on the politics of international currencies, and teaching Evidence, Litigation, Administrative Law and Professional Responsibility. She worked in a top tier legal firm and was the associate to the Honourable Justice James L. B. Allsop, then a Justice of the Federal Court, now the Chief Justice of the Federal Court of Australia.

Bridie can offer significant advantages to in-house counsel by assisting with advice, strategy, drafting and litigation. She can assist with all aspects of international and domestic arbitration.

Bridie is a sought after presenter and social commentator, having spoken and commented extensively on legal topics including public law, insurance, corporations law, maritime law, contracts, professional negligence, medical negligence, insurance, trustees’ obligations, superannuation and corporate governance,  and social issues such as women in the workplace, motherhood as a professional and achieving work/life balance.

Bridie also serves and has served on a number of boards and is keen to expand her involvement in corporate governance at both a systemic and business level.
